The meeting opened at 5:30 pm.
Present: Chairman, Richard Letarte, Board Members, Louis Franco,
Rena Swezey, Regional Assessor, Harald Scheid,
and Louise Paquette, Administrative
Assessor.
Chairman, Town Manager, Heather Lemieux attended a portion of the meeting. Visitor: Robert Hamel.
Board reviewed and approved current expense vouchers, payroll, abatements, warrants, commitments
and March 6, 2019 minutes.
Senior Tax-Work-Off: Senior Tax Work-Off President Robert Hamel, presented information regarding
the Senior Work-Off Program. Mr. Hamel was seeking the Boards' support in increasing the opportunity
for eligible senior citizens to receive up to $1,500.00 in salary per year up from the current $1,000.00. He
explained that currently for each hour worked an eligible senior age 60+ is paid $10.00 per hour and can
work up to 100 hours between Jan. 1 to Nov. 1 of the same calendar year. He is proposing that the salary
be increased to $12.00 per hour and the worker then would have the ability to earn the maximum amount
of $1,500.00 which would represent 125 hours per year. He explained that the income guidelines also
would be increased for a one person household from $40,000 to $50,000. After some discussion, the
Board endorsed the changes as proposed by Mr. Hamel. Mr. Hamel explained that he will now take this
proposal to the BOS for their endorsement / approval..

Assessment Software: The BOA discussed the conversion process of upcoming new CAMA
Assessment Software, iasWorld by Tyler Technologies, Inc. They are seeking direction from the Town

Louise reminded the BOA that Town Meeting will be held on Saturday, May 4" and Town Election will be
on May 18". Rena Swezey will be on the ballot for reelection to the Board of Assessors for a three year
appointment.
Assessors Report: Harald spoke briefly on the difficulty of home inspections. He explained that many
property owners have been refusing Data Collectors / Inspectors in gaining entrance into their residences.
He stated that he has been looking into potential solutions to this issue at a fraction of the cost and will
speak more on this topic at a later time.
