Minutes 
Cemetery Commission Workshop Meeting 
September 5, 2018 
7:00 PM 
Lunenburg Historical Society Meeting Room 
10 School St. Lunenburg, Ma. 
 
Meeting was called to order a 7:00 PM by Chairman May. Other members present 
were Vice Chair, Lorraine Mendoza and Clerk, William Tyler. 
 
Discussion ensued concerning the Cemetery building demolition and a report by 
Commissioner Tyler was presented which included a timetable for demolition 
and information concerning the removal of windows before demolition because 
of asbestos abatement. 
 
The Commission is also working with the Montachusett Regional Vocational High 
School for a schedule for the construction of a garage on the site of the former 
Cemetery Office. 
 
2018 budget issues were discussed, along with IT and the new website. 
 
The Superintendent is working on his schedule for the Fall cleanup, in 
conjunction with the Worcester County Sheriff’s Dept. with help from the inmates. 
 
The Commission is aware of the meetings of the Charter Review Committee and 
intends on inviting a member to a future meeting. 
 
Under New Business, a donation from a past Commissioner was discussed and 
will be taken under advisement to be discussed at a future meeting. 
 
Next meeting is September 13, 2018 at the Lunenburg Public Library Conference 
Room at 7:00PM 
 
Meeting was adjourned at 9:10 PM
