Cemetery Commission Meeting
Thursday June 15, 2023
Meeting was called to order at 9am. In attendance was Vice-Chairperson Nancy
Foss-Yasko, Clerk David Dorren and DPW Director Bill Bernard. Member Stanley
Barney was absent. No Public Comment
DPW Director Bill Bernard reported that Superintendent Todd is the only person working
the cemeteries until the new budget is released in July. Then the two part-time grounds
crew will begin to work.
Vice-Chairperson Nancy Foss-Yasko, discussed the relocation of family grave site from
the left of the Columbarium to a new location in the field that has not been developed.
This time-frame will happen once the surveying has been complete and the grave sites
have been marked off. The family was told this project should be in one-year time-
frame; and that they will be charged a fee for the relocation of the body. This was
approved by both the Cemetery Commission and DPW Director - Bill Barnard.
The Cemetery Rules and Regulations was brought up with changes requested by the
DPW Superintendent. Regulations were reviewed. Final Draft of Regulations will be
voted on at the August/September meeting.
The new burial site in the back of North Cemetery was reviewed. DPW Director Bill
Bernard said he needs to clear the logs and will get an estimate for doing that. Director
Bernard will also contact the surveyor to start surveying the site for the new burial
location. This project/surveying should begin sometime in September, 2023 time-frame.
David Dorren made the motion to approve the minutes of May 23, 2023. Nancy Foss-
Yasko seconded the motion. Motion carried 2-0
Reorganization and the Fisher Cemetery were both tabled till our August meeting.
David Dorren made the motion to adjourn the meeting at 10:43am. Nancy Foss-Yasko
seconded the motion. Motion passed 2-0
