Invoices: Amanda Construction – almost done, includes wall, an installation of granite posts. DPW took care of the tree removal, and Cemetery Commission to pay for chain link. Signed oƯ and approved by Mike Clark and Donna Landry. Discussed South Cemetery stone straightening, Fish Street takes precedence till finished. DPW Reports: North Cemetery Expansion, costs reduction. Bill Bernard discussed getting the costs down to about $140K and that would allow us to send this project out to bid by doing half now, and the other 400 plots at a later date. Discussed the hiring of 2 part time workers – one took another job, still waiting for a new applicant. Volunteer coming back, Chase Jasma, for 3 months 2 to 3 days a week. Dept of Corrections may oƯer free work (not sure how often) 7:00 to 1:30, (a couple days a week) and we only have to pay for their meals. 17 Main Street, P. O. Bill Bernard discussed putting it out to the National Honor society, but date is the same as the high school prom. June 14th, John Bowen Jr, to champion ceremony of Flag Burning Day and go to the town to get approval. Rules and By Law, under cemetery commission lunenburgmas.gov Chapter 310, goes through charter that we can modify, up to commissions and committees’ level 300 and below, Who can update the links? Town Clerk to repopulate. Discussed costs of cemetery which should be increased by July 1, 2026. Todd Holman to inform the current potential burial plot people of increase and to lock in before July 1. Rescheduled May 28 meeting to June 5th at North Cemetery due to conflict.
