===PAGE 1=== LUNENBURG CEMETERY COMMISSION Friday, June 5th, 2026 – 8:00AM Lunenburg North Cemetery Meeting Minutes 8:04 AM – Meeting called to order. All stood and recited the Pledge of Allegiance. Bill Bernard discussed the use of alternate materials to bring the project cost down from the $300k range to approximately $160k. With a planned reduction in scope — completing half the project at a time — the cost could potentially be reduced into the $112k range. He also discussed funding options with the committee, including using approximately $40k from the Backlot Capital Fund along with $72k from the Committee’s Capital Trust Fund. Bill will work with Dillis & Roy to finalize the plans so that the RFQ can be issued. The committee will review available funding and discuss it further at the next scheduled meeting. Todd Holman discussed the required depth of clean fill with the committee. He noted that 18 inches of clean fill is needed for a cremation, which requires removing approximately 2 feet of the existing “junk” material and replacing it with suitable clean fill. The required depth for a full burial vault is 5 feet. A base of 6–12 inches is required where deep ledge is present. He also noted that he may have a donor for replacement trees. (The existing oaks are to be removed due to their heavy acorn production and the resulting cleanup burden.) 8:40 AM – Mike Clark requested a motion to adjourn. David Dorren made the motion to adjourn. Donna Landry seconded. All in favor. 17 Main Street, P. O.
