Lunenburg Cultural Council Meeting
Minutes of December 3, 2014
Lunenburg Public Library
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Brent Benson. All members were present.
Nomination and voting was conducted for Council officers. Brent Benson was re-elected Chair, Jim Ryan
was re-elected Treasurer and Caroline Griffis was re-elected Secretary.
The meeting minutes of November 6, 2013 were approved unanimously.
There was no public comment.
The Cultural Council account balance and expenditures for the past year were reviewed by Mr. Benson.
Applications for 2015 were reviewed and discussed by members. The following is a list of the grant
awards:
1. The Lunenburg Town Band: $675.00
2. Lunenburg Primary School: African Arts in Education: $1,000.00
3. Lunenburg Primary School: Plimoth Plantation/Mayflower field trip: $675.00
4. Steve Henderson/Jerry Atric-The Older I Get: $400.00
5. Davis Bates/Celebrating New England in Songs & Stories: $125.00
6. John Root/Edible Wild Plants Walk: $450.00
7. Fitchburg Art Museum/80% Regional Exhibition of Arts & Crafts: $300.00
8. Discover Museum/EBT & $1 Admission Program: $100.00
9. Lunenburg Public Library: Super Heroes Cartooning Workshop: $200.00
10. Lunenburg Public Library: Super Cold Science: $275.00
11. Lunenburg Public Library: Star Wars Symposium: $250.00
12. Roger Tincknell/Children's Songs and Singing Games Family Concert: $300.00
Members were told that an additional meeting day may be called if any of the grant awards are
appealed.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:30 PM.
