MINUTES OF HISTORICAL COMMISSION MEETING September 14, 2010

Meeting to order @ 6:40 PM
Minutes of June 7, 2010 meeting approved as written
Correspondence discussed: Eagle House newsletter, Telegram & Gazette asking if we
wave to pay for pay foing ation Sodom 's Way organization - Commission does not.
Christine to speak with Marion Benson re: Ritter.
Demo Delays: 86 Lakefront - demo delay approved by Commission. Chriztine to send
letter to Mike Sauvageau
20 Fire Road 19 - Chriztine and Richard looked at property and noted it was ca 1955 and
falling apart. Of no important historic significance. Ok to demo - unanimous vote
Materials on Ethics, Open Meetings and Conflict of Interest Laws distributed. Copy sent
to Richard McGrath.
Noted: RFP for Jones House notriled or recorded as of this meeting date.
Information for Bowen property to apply for a grant - nothing done yet
Pat to fight for digitizing. Motion made for Pat to write a letter re: the
offer to pay for digitzing data for Commission from Emerald Place.
Committee will review the letter.
Pat has information and costs for insertion of photo and write- up for the
Jones house insertion into old house publications.
Application received from Tania Fernandez showing interest in the Historical
Commission. Letter to be sent advising no openings at this time and thanking her for her
interest.
Election of new officers postponed until October 4 meeting.
Meeting adjourned @ 8PM
Next meeting October 4, 2010 at 6:30.
