William Lakso, Member Minutes Following appropriate public notice, a special meeting of the commission was held August 7, 2018 at the Ritter Memorial Building, 960 Massachusetts Avenue, Lunenburg. Chairperson Rebecca Lantry called the meeting to order at 7:00 o’clock, p.m. with a quorum present (Lantry, Sanderson & Lakso.) Present and representing the cemetery commission were William E. Tyler and Lorraine Mendoza. The purpose of the meeting was to act on the application of the Lunenburg Cemetery Commission to demolish a former office building administered by the cemetery commission, having an age in excess of 75 years, but no longer utilized. Mr. Tyler explained details of the now-unused building, and the need to replace it with a garage for storage of the commission’s equipment. Following additional discussion, and on motion regularly made and seconded, it was unanimously voted: That no demolition delay be imposed, but that the cemetery commission exert reasonable efforts to advertise the availability of the building for removal, prior to razing. (It is noted that subsequent to the meeting, the availability of the building for removal was published in the Lunenburg Ledger.) Attest: Jennifer L. Sanderson & C. William Lakso
