Trustees of Lunenburg Public Library, Meeting minutes 
May 20, 2014. 
 
Attending: Jeanne Raboin (chair), Dick Mailloux (vice-chair), Harry Kubetz, Gare Thompson, Robin Venezia, Susan 
Visser, Lars Widstrand (secretary) 
 
Joint meeting with the Lunenburg Board of Selectmen, at the BOS ordinary meeting time.  
Attending from BOS: Thomas A. Alonzo, Paula J. Bertram, Jamie Toale, Robert Ebersole, Phyllis Luck , Kerry Speidel 
(Town Manager) 
 
LPL Trustee Meeting called to order at 7:10 pm in the Joseph F. Bilotta Meeting Room, 2nd floor, Town Hall by 
Chairman Jean Raboin. 
 
Purpose of the meeting: 
 
 Consideration of appointment of Gare Thompson to the vacant seat on the Library Board of Trustees 
(Unexpired Term, Town Charter 3-1(f)2). 
o Presentation by Jean Raboin of purpose of LPL Trustee appearance before the Lunenburg BOS @ 
7:10 p.m. 
o Motion made by Dick Mailloux to appoint Gare Thompson to the seat vacated by Joanne McQuaid, 
seconded by Robin Venezia.  All voted in favor. 
o Motion made by Bob Ebersole, BOS, to appoint Gare Thompson to the seat vacated by Joanne 
McQuaid, seconded by Paula Bertram.  All BOS members voted in favor. 
 Decided, Gare Thompson to fill Joanne McQuaid’s position. 
o NOTE:  According to the BOS, Gare’s position on the Trustees only runs until next election 2015, 
not until Joanne’s original term was up in 2016. 
 Motion to adjourn LPL Trustee meeting by Jeanne at 7:17 p.m., seconded by Harry.  All votes in favor. 
 
Next LPL Trustee meeting will be held on 5/22/14 at 6:45 p.m. in the Lunenburg Public Library.
