Trustees of Lunenburg Public Library, Meeting minutes  
July 14, 2015; Joseph F. Bilotta Meeting Room, 2nd floor, Town Hall 
 
Attending: Harry Kubetz,  Dick Mailloux, Gare Thompson, Susan Visser, Lars Widstrand,  
Absent: None  
 
The meeting is a joint meeting between the Lunenburg Public Library Board of Trustees (LPLBoT ) and the Lunenburg Board of 
Selectmen (LBOS). 
Attending from the LBOS: Jamie Toale, Chairman; Robert Ebersole, Vice-Chairman; Thomas A. Alonzo, Clerk; Paula Bertram, 
Member; Kerry Speidel, Town Manager 
Absent: Phyllis Luck, Member LBOS 
 
The LPLBoT meeting was called to order at 7:05 p.m. by Chairperson Dick Mailloux. 
 
 Public Comment 
o No public comment 
 
 Agenda items 
o Consideration of appointments to two (2) vacant seats on the Library Board of Trustees (Failure to elect, 
Sections 3-1, 7-10, and any other relevant provisions of the Town Charter) 
o Dick Mailloux introduced the three candidates: Donna Saiia, Kiirja Paananen and Joy Ruth Cohen to the 
LBOS.  The candidate presented themselves; gave brief backgrounds and declared their interest in the 
Lunenburg Public Library and serving on the LPLBoT.  The LBOS asked questions of the candidates. 
o All three candidates were nominated for the [two] positions. 
o Voted: 
 Joy Ruth Cohen, 4 for, 5 against 
 Kiirja Paananen, 5 for, 4 against 
 Donna Seiia, 5 for, 3 against, 1 abstain 
 
 Motion to adjourn 
o Dick made a motion to adjourn the LPLBoT meeting, second by Gare, voted all in favor @ 7:30 p.m.
