Open Space Ad Hoc Committee
Location: Ritter Memorial Building, 960 Massachusetts Avenue
Time: 4:30 PM
Present: Richard Brockelman, Janice Carrier, Robert Verge, Brandon Kibbe
Also Present: Janet Morrison, North County Land Trust and Al Futterman, Nashua River Watershed Association
Absent: Marion M. Benson, Sharon Jordan
Committee briefed Mr. Futterman on progress to date with property located at 300 W Holman and 300 Holman
Streets. Mr. Kibbe spoke of getting Hickory Hills Lake Association involved in the Town process of acquiring the land
since development of the property would affect the water supply to the lake. It was noted that a portion of the land on
the east side of Holman St would provide access to conservation land that is currently not accessible.
Mr. Alonzo, Chair of the Select Board arrived and was given an update by the Committee. It was noted to Mr. Alonzo
that it would be possible to estimate a cost to the Town, including the official appraisal.
