Members Present: Paula Bertram (Board of Selectmen), Brandon Kibbe (Open Space Ad Hoc
Committee), Emerick Bakaysa (Planning Board), Jean-Joseph Cote (Conservation Commission)
Meeting Called to Order: 7:03pm
1. Members discussed requirements for meetings to be held in executive session. It was
agreed that the topic of municipal acquisitions of open space qualified for executive
session, and that future meetings would be held accordingly. BK to check with town
manager to determine requirements.
2. Open space and recreation priorities discussed for municipal acquisition, including
recreational access, habitat and wildlife conservation, and water quality protection.
3. Grant programs to support municipal acquisition of open space, especially EOEEA LAND
Grant program, discussed. Process, steps, and timeline for municipal open space
acquisitions also reviewed.
4. Members set next meeting for November 26, 2013, '5:30pm, to discuss prospective
acquisition in Executive Session.
