Meeting convened at 7 o'clock, members present: Commissioners Bob Robuccio and Mike Masciarelli.
No previous meeting minutes to approve, 3/27 meeting postponed due to snow storm.
Recreation Basketball
Bob Robuccio reported no problems with the recreation basketball league this winter. League wrapped
up play Saturday 3/8 with a championship night held at the LHS gym.
Both the adult men and women's basketball league concluded their season at the Lunenburg Primary
School, with no issues.
Turf Field
Mike Masciarelli reviewed Turf Schedule:
LYSA has field reserved for practices/games starting Monday 3/31 to 6/14. Monday thru Friday 5:00
pm - 8:30 pm, Saturdays 8:30 am - 4:00 pm. LYSA also has 3 selected Sundays.
Adult soccer league has also reserved turf for Friday nights after LYSA activities starting in June.
Water at the bathrooms need to be turned on, Bob will contact Jack to arrange for turn on.
Marshall Park Baseball Field
Bob Robuccio reported that Marshall Park Baseball field is still unplayable, alternate arrangements and
schedule changes are taken place until the field is ready for use. The LHS baseball schedule is available
on the schools web site.
Lunenburg Phillies schedule is still not completed, practice/try-out times will start as soon as the field is
. ready. Practice/try-outs are scheduled for every Tuesday, Thursday and. Saturday until league play

begins.
The Lunenburg Police Association has reserved the field for its annual celebrity softball game/fundraiser
on Saturday 6/211:00 pm - 4:00 pm.
Mike Masciarelli reported that a group of parents in the community would like to add some plantings
around the "Mike Dione Memorial Bullpen" to help improve its appearance. Will discuss this matter at
a future meeting.
Other Business
The Turf field fee structure needs to be modified. Meeting with DPW director, LYSA, Pop Warner,
LTFA and the School Dept will be scheduled to start discussing this matter.
Public Comment
Troy Daniels was present at the meeting and stated that the commission has been violating the Open
Meeting Law. The commission thanked him for his input and will work to eliminate this issue.
Next scheduled Park Commission meeting will be Thursday May 8, 2014 7:00 pm @ the DPW.
