The hearing was to make alterations to Code of the Town of Lunenburg, MA, Chapter 250, Zoning, Article IV Use Regulations, 
Section 250-4.1G Use Table, by changing 4.1K(10) Motel in the Commercial District from “Y” to “SP -Z”.   
 
ARTICLE XX  To see if the Town will vote to amend the Code of Lunenburg, Section 250 -4.1G, which is a 
Section of the Protective Bylaw entitled “Use Table,” by changing 4.1K(10) Mo tel in the Commercial 
District from “Y” to “SP-Z”, or take any action relative thereto 
 
Motel is currently a by -right use in the Commercial District, yet Hotel is a special permit through the Zoning Board of 
Appeals.  Board consensus was that Motel should also be a special permit through the Zoning Board of Appeals.  If a 
by-right use, it could have significant impact if located near a residential structure.   
 
M. Brenner made Motion to close the hearing, A. Reid Seconded, passed unanimously.
