The meeting commenced at 9:34 p.m.
Ms. Lemieux reported she met with the Fire Chief and the Firefighter union representatives regarding two items
brought up during the collective bargaining agreement negotiations; a request of a percentage increase for the
Fire Prevention Officer and to create a new position of Firefighter/Paramedic that would be incorporated into
the pay schedule. It was agreed that a flat stipend of $1500 will be paid to the Fire Prevention Officer in two
annual payments.
The position of Firefighter/Paramedic would not be posted until the town was ready to provide that service. We
extended from five to seven steps in the pay schedule to be more similar to other positions with a 2.5% increase
per step. The Firefighter Union ratified the MOU already.

To ratily the proposed agreement with the Professional Firefighters PPFM Local 4358A
Discussion: Mr. Toale noted if we ratify this now, the funding for the first year is on Special Town Meeting
warrant. Mr. Lemieux stated we need to announce it during an open meeting which could be at the Special
Town Meeting.

Ms. Lemieux noted Mr. Ebersole, although not present tonight, had expressed he was in favor of the
recommendations.
