APPOINTMENTS Bicycles Battling Cancer Ride Request to Pass through Lunenburg on September 21, 2025 Town Manager Jennifer Warren-Dyment introduced Mark Walter, the representative for the Bicycles Battling Cancer Ride, and provided an overview of the request. She noted that the event is an annual 100-mile bicycle ride benefiting the American Cancer Society, and that the route passes through only a small portion of the southern side of Lunenburg, in the vicinity of Leominster-Shirley Road. Town Manager Warren-Dyment confirmed that she had received approval from the Fire Chief, Police Chief, and DPW Director, and that a certificate of insurance had been obtained. Clerk Emkey noted that this request had come before the Select Board in prior years and posed two questions to Mr. Walter: whether the route had changed, and whether there had been any incidents in prior years. Mr. Walter confirmed that the route remained unchanged and reported that, while minor issues such as flat tires and rider fatigue had occasionally occurred, no significant incidents or medical transports had been required.
