Members Present: Vice-Chair Amanda Moore, Clerk Renee Emkey, Member Brian Lehtinen, 
and Member Glenn McLeod 
Members Absent: Chair Caesar Nuzzolo  
 
CALL TO ORDER  
 
Vice-Chair Amanda Moore called the meeting to order at 11:01 a.m.  
 
EXECUTIVE SESSION  
 
Clerk Renee Emkey motioned to enter into Executive Session and re-enter Open Session 
after exiting pursuant to MGL c. 30 § 21 (a)(2) to conduct strategy sessions in preparation 
for negotiations with nonunion personnel…or contract negotiations with nonunion 
personnel (Director of Municipal Finance/Town Accountant).  Seconded by Member Brian 
Lehtinen. Roll Call Vote: Member Brian Lehtinen-aye. Member Glenn McLeod-aye. Clerk 
Renee Emkey-aye. Vice-Chair Amanda Moore-aye. The motion passed (4-0-0) 
The Board exited Executive Session and returned to open session at 11:07 AM. 
Clerk Emkey motioned to appoint Karen Barrett as Town Accountant and ratify the Town 
Manager’s appointment of Karen Barrett as Finance Director. Seconded by Member 
Lehtinen. Roll Call Vote: Member Lehiten-aye. Member McLeod-aye. Clerk Emkey-aye. 
Vice-Chair Moore-aye. The motion passed (4-0-0).  
 
Member Lehtinen motioned to adjorn. Seconded by Clerk Emkey. Roll call vote Member 
Lehiten-aye. Member McLeod-aye. Clerk Emkey-aye. Vice-Chair Moore-aye. The motion 
passed (4-0-0). 
 
Meeting adjourned at 11:08 a.m.

Also Present: Jennifer Warren-Dyment, Town Manager, Julie Belliveau, Assistant Town 
Manager, and Melissa Richard, Executive Assistant to the Town Manager and Select Board

The Select Board convened for Executive Session at 11:01 a.m. 
 
During Executive Session, the Board reviewed the contract for Karen Barrett for the positions of 
Town Accountant and Finance Director. The Board discussed the candidate's qualifications and 
addressed questions regarding her background. The Town Manager confirmed that reference and 
CORI checks had been completed with no concerns. 
 
Clerk Emkey motioned to approve the employment contract as provided for Karen Barrett, 
subject to appointment and ratification in Open Session. Seconded by Member Lehtinen. 
Roll Call Vote: Member Lehtinen-aye. Member McLeod-aye. Clerk Emkey-aye. Vice-Chair 
Moore-aye. The motion passed (4-0-0).  
 
Member Lehtinen motioned to exit Executive Session and re-enter Open Session at 11:07 
a.m. Seconded by Clerk Emkey. Roll Call Vote: Member Lehtinen-aye. Member McLeod-
aye. Clerk Emkey-aye. Vice-Chair Moore-aye. The motion passed (4-0-0).
