Senior Citizen Property Tax Work-Off Program & Taxation Aid Committee
MINUTES OF MEETING - JANUARY 12, 2016
Meeting called to order by Sue Doherty at 11:04 am, at Eagle House Senior Center. Members present: Jean
Larkin, Sheila Craigen and Sue Doherty. Myleen could not attend so her assistant, Sally Deming, sat in her
place. Approval of November 17, 2015 minutes motioned by Jean and second by Sue.
Review of calendar year 2015 program: Minimal discussion on 2015 program, there are no outstanding
issues.
Board member vacancy: Sue mentioned there is still one opening for the Tax Work-Off program.
Department requests: Sue stated there are thirteen department requests. To date, fourteen applications
have been received. All members agree that advertising for the program was beneficial.
Review/Approval of 2016 Applicants: Sue stated that she reviewed all applications. She feels there are
two that may not qualify. All applications were distributed and discussion began. All members agree that the
application itself could be modified to obtain more specific information.

Sue stated that she will contact the Town Manager for consultation. Sue stated she will also contact the
applicants and the departments to let them know the program is on hold.
Sue will keep members updated and will schedule the next meeting accordingly.
