Website design and layout is being finalized and is online for Member review. Courtney discussed particular questions and details. Agenda, minutes and calendar were items that could be accessed through “Our Team” tab . Geo-thermal info is also being added as a tab item. 2. Minutes approval delayed pending receipt by all members. 3. Kelly Brown Worcester County regional Rep from DER reviewed Committee efforts to date. An involved discussion was held about the viability of adopting the “stretch code” and what benefit it brought to Lunenburg. It appears to be a redundant requirement given the pending Energy Code upgrade being readied by the BBRS as part of the Mass. Building Code and yet it is a requirement of program compliance. We reviewed the Town’s Green Community Application noting complianc e with applicable criteria. At this time Lunenburg definitely meets 1 of the criteria and possibly could meet 2 additional ones. This efforts is directed at being eligible for receipt of a portion of an $8 million funding source. She noted that additional information is available on the DER website and and encouraged members to view same. 4. Briefly discussed Solar & Wind By-law articles for Dec. 1 st Town meeting. S. Krowitz, S.DiCampo Town Liaison: M. Benson, J. Londa, J.Breault 1. J. Londa reported on bid process for photo-voltaic panels planned for municipal buildings. Bids were due today at 2PM. Only 1 bid was received and it was delivered later than the 2 PM deadline. Bid received was from Green Bridge Co. and limited the bid proposal to a 90kw system on 1 building, the Turkey Hill Middle School. 2. A letter was received from Moss Hollow Solar explaining their reason for not submitting a formal bid. Specifically, with government funding unavailable at the present time they felt that the project as proposed would not be economically viable. 3. J. Londa reviewed a spreadsheet he prepared on the basis of the Green Bridge proposal noting that without the government reimbursement the project would not be beneficial to the Town. It did show that a 15 year proposal was the most advantageous to the Town. 4. The Green Bridge bid information was felt to be helpful to J. Londa and his grant proposal due in Boston by 12/7/09. 5. J. Londa will send a letter to Green Bridge thanking them for their effort in bidding the project and telling them that the Committee is taking their bid under advisement for discussion at their next meeting. 6.
