Public Comment: none Review of Minutes from November 16, 2020 meeting. Minutes approved unanimously. New Business:  Athletic Director update: none  Discussion on best practices for covid fundraising: Jane Gallagher stated the bracelets went well and allowed them to fundraise following protocols and distancing. Eric Short stated fundraising was not the same but raffles were able to take place and players raised funds for the injured Bishop Feehan player and they had success with using Venmo to assist in social distancing while raising funds. Ernie Friend stated soccer had success with having vendors assist in social distancing in regards to shipping. Old Business:  Fundraising Requests: none. Discussion took place that many teams and boosters have cut back on fundraising. Future Meetings: Monday, June 7, 2021, 6:30pm, prior to summer break and for fall season planning. Monday August 30, 2021, 6:30pm, prior to start of fall if fall sports have additional fundraising requests. Public Comment: There was a question on when the spring season starts and what the conclusion dates were. Old Business:  The School Committee policy on Athletic Advisory was reviewed on a yearly basis. Fundraiser request for raffle was proposed by the golf boosters. Motion to approve golf booster raffle fundraiser approved unanimously. Fundraiser request was proposed by the football boosters for a yard sale. Public Comment: Anthony Caiozzo mentioned connecting invites to the meeting to electronic calendars to help people remember meeting dates and times. Brian Lehtinen stated he could look into that. Robin Bursch inquired about field hockey night games. James Bunnell stated the game times were based on coaches and field availability. Additionally, gate tickets would be $5 and $3 and no season passes. Public Comment: Anthony Caiozzo discussed creating a booster club how to bible. Jane Gallagher asked how the Athletic Boosters and the Athletic Advisory fits together. Brian Lehtinen discussed the approval of fundraisers that involve students raising funds for boosters. Heather Sroka state maximum of 2 fundraisers per season that involves the students. Review of Minutes from August 30, 2021 meeting. Minutes approved unanimously. New Business:  Athletic Director update: the athletic director gave a summary of the successes of the fall season. Winter registration is open. Required NFGS and implicit bias course needed now. With winter sports there is an indoor mask mandate, half the bleachers will be open and there will be a camera and live stream. Old Business:  A fundraiser request for the basketball team was proposed by the basketball coach. Motion to approve basketball fundraiser approved unanimously. Future topics: handbook for boosters. Future Meetings: Monday, February 28, 2022, 6:30pm, prior to spring season. Public Comment: Jane Gallagher was looking for clarification on the bus types and driver shortage. James Bunnell stated there is a bus shortage and the school has been using multiple bus companies as there are no busses or bus drivers available at times. Anthony Caiozzo asked about how we could get the snack shack up and running. A subgroup of boosters would reach out to Nadine to look into the feasibility prior to our February Athletic Advisory meeting. Public Comment: none. Old Business:  A fundraiser request for the basketball team was proposed by the basketball boosters. It was clarified that the prior meeting fundraiser was separate and for a shooter machine. The boosters would like to do a calendar raffle for the apparel and banquets. Motion to approve basketball fundraiser approved unanimously. Future Meetings: Monday, February 28, 2022, 6:30pm, prior to spring season. Public Comment: none.
