Attendance: James Bersarkarski, Robert Herrick, Cathy Hennessy Review of September 5, 2019 meeting Commissioners spoke before meeting with resident who requested assistance Ask resident about good faith loan/look into whether we can ask for money back Met with resident who requested assistance Asked resident to review the scope of the job and get a quote in writing Asked resident to speak to insurance company to see if they will cover if not request a denial in writing Asked resident if they would be able to repay any of the money back but we reiterated that it should not be a hardship. The resident thought that they could manage $100 a month. Discussed asking citizen to speak with her church group for assistance and perhaps assessing the roof for patching instead of replacing the roof. We talked about getting a copy of denial from her (the citizen) insurance company. We asked Michael Gale questions about the trust fund commissioners role and parameters in regards to distributing money to people requesting it. For instance is a citizen required to pay back any of the money borrowed. No is the answer. Or can the trust fund commissioners ask for some kind of good faith pay back without requiring the person to pay back the money-answer yes.
